I've had a major problem with calcium buildups in my toilet for years, I've tried all sorts of products to get rid of it, even going as far as to attack the bowl with a knife trying to chip the calcium off. Quite frankly, it is the best toilet bowl cleaner available. We purchased a newbuild but alas, the builder, Diyanni, wasn't into installing quality products. So, the toilets they installed retain moisture and mildew. In addition to the mildew, the toilets were so inexpensive, that the porcelain was not baked on like it is on the more expensive toilets, these toilets have sprayed on enamel porcelain. Thus, making them TOTALLY impossible to clean! I have WAY too much knowledge of toilets now so believe me, you really need to use this stuff because I've used everything out there on the market and this is the only product that removed mildew from the toilets and it's been there for 3 years (gross, I know!). We even tried using a razor blade to get it out to no avail. I let this soak in our toilet for about 2 hours, hoping for a miracle. I about passed out when I flushed it and it was completely clean! Couldn't believe it! Still can't believe it took me 3 years to find a product that worked. To let you know how bad the problem was, we had to replace one of the toilets because I couldn't find ANYTHING to clean out that mildew. Amazing how the new one has NEVER had this mildew problem. Hmmm, lesson here is never buy a cheap toilet! Highly, Highly, HIGHLY recommend!

The cakes do not have the typical bathroom cleaner smell. I did not want that smell for the urinal in our home. They advertised that it has a 'green apple fragrance', I could not smell it that well. Fresh out of the package, it has a bit of soapy smell, but not when it is in the urinal. The green apple is not supposed to be that fragrant anyway. It does its job of neutralizing urine smell. Good enough for me.

I have been intrigued by the new Clorox Green Works line of cleaners and have been slowly trying them as my existing cleaners run out. One I have been very impressed with was this toilet cleaner.



Prior to this I was using the usual Clorox or Lysol type in this familiar shaped bottle. It worked well, but it just seemed so toxic. Some of them contain bleach which I was afraid would splash or stain clothing, etc. I was always afraid some kind of residue would affect my new kitty, who likes to hang out around the toilets. I saw this and decided to try.



The first thing I noticed was the wonderfully fresh smell. Not the strong disinfectant/perfumed smell of the others but an intense lime/citrus fragrance. An immediate plus.



The cleaning ability of this is comparable to the other similar "non green" products. The primary ingredient is citric acid, which presumably will work on hard water buildup.



One caveat with these products is that they DON'T contain disinfectants. However, I am beginning to think that that is not always a bad thing. And, in watching the ladies in "How Clean is Your House" over the years using natural cleaners to cleanse the most foul bathrooms and kitchens imaginable, I have to say I am OK with this.



I highly recommend this product. I plan to make the permanent switch!

No,this product doesn't make it easier to clean the commode but it sure does a great job. The scent is great and dissapates pretty quick leaving your bathroom fresh but not intoxocating with chemical residue. I was mildly suprised by the fairly thick consistency having used 'natural' products before and found them to be a bit watery. This stuff will cling to the bowl and coat it well enough to give a quick thourough cleaning. If you care about the environment both in your house and beyond try Seventh Generation products. As a mom of two little ones I appreciate being able to provide them with a clean and toxic free home. Amazon offers these products at a great price (really not much more than the products you may already use from a local store) and they arrive at your door! Amazon had a great offer on these products so we stocked up, after we finish our supply of traditional cleaners I look forward to trying the rest of the Seventh Generation line.

I like the idea that this product is enviromentally friendly. It also works great. It gets rid of all the grime and leaves your toilet sparkling clean. I had my doubts about these cleaners. I figured they wouldn't clean like the "bad" products with bleach and ammonia but I was wrong. Plus, it doesn't leave your bathroom full of fumes. I definitely recommend this product.

I was very skeptical about this item due to the fact that everyone seems to be jumping onto the clean green bandwagon just to sell products with inferior results. To my surprise and actually, amazement, it worked exceptionally well and I dare say possibly better than conventional products filled with unhealthy to us and to the earth ( that being our children's lives ) chemicals or uneeded extra preservatives etc... included.
